It was convenient for the University Colleges we wanted to visit; had free (limited) parking and had a triple room available. Breakfast was very pleasant.
The en-suite shower and toilet was extremely small, but serviceable.
Friendly advice from the resident manager. Good directions with regard to local transport and footpaths to the centre of Cambridge. An excellent breakfast to start the day. Suitable for couples with a young family. Ideal for lecturers on an university budget. No car-parking on site; some on-street parking in the vicinity. Bus stop about 100 metres away. One would have to walk to nearby pubs or cafes for lunch or dinner. Large choice of catering in the city centre. Good for sight- seeing, but itself quiet. I would certainly stay there again.
My room was shower-only. I don't know if en-suite baths are available. My room was on the ground floor. I don't know if a lift is available.
the welcome i got was fantastic..the owners were very polite..the hotel was very clean..the location was perfect just walking by the river into town was beautiful..the breakfast had 3 menu's but you could choose something different and they done it for you..i would recommend this guest house to anyone..i will definitely be going back there.
there was nothing i didnt like about the hotel
We arrived late and the owner was there to greet us and was very helpful in getting our bags to the room.
bread and breakfast is wonderfull. right on time and good services. despite i came almost 12midnite i was able to check in. good walking distance to city center and park and ride.
The guest house offers value for money; rooms are small but clean and have everything you need. The breakfast is superb and the staff is very friendly. It is ideal for a visit to Cambridge with a small parking at the back and cheap taxi's into town.
The walls are thin and noisy guests can keep you awake
The owner was very nice. The breakfast was good and the area was quiet in the evening.
The in suite bathrooms were small, but they were ensuite.
The Owner was calm, thoughtful and helpful with information about Cambridge. The selection of different menus for breakfast was nice.
The bathroom was too small and car park awkward.
Good location, near to riverside and not too far from city centre. Free WiFi.
Bathrooms are a bit small. No/small table in the room to work on a laptop.
that the room was outside the house, it was in a house in the parking lot
Easy to find, secure parking, friendly service, great location close to city centre, good breakfast, good value, would stay there again.
It was only 10 mins walk from Cambridge centre along the river, clean with friendly and helpful staff.
It seemed a lot of money for a basic room and facilities, of which were good.
Good location, car park available, friendly staff, free internet, clean room - a nice guest house.
The room had no real bathroom. Shower and WC were in a small closet, the washbasin was in the corner of the main room right under the pitched roof - very inconvenient. Plus the room itself was also very small with little space to move around the bed.
Parking though far too cramped. Had to shuffle cars to get out.
Miserable attitude of owner who refused to allow me breakfast when I was a couple of minutes late for 9.00 am close of service. Other folks were in there eating. Room very pokey. Could not stand up to use basin because of angle of eaves. Had to reverse in to use toilet and toilet roll holder (bent wire protruding from wall) ripped my clothes. Cups provided in room were not clean but the room was clean.
All staff pleasant and helpful, breakfasts good, facilities quite adequate, access to City easy enough.
The cost for what you get probably reflects the high pressure on accommodation in Cambridge. The restaurant, in terms of physical size, is barely big enough to cope with a full guest list.
